Holiday fun @ The Kleen and Adkin's residence

Dave Kleen and Tyler Adkins sure know how to host a party for the masses.  What a party full of energy.  I created a couple arrangements for the festivities.
White mums, bells of ireland and hot red roses filled this large white vase.  Pine branches of different varieties helped finish off this organic design.

Hot pink event for breast cancer

Each year CBIZ puts on a women's event and for the past 2 years the party was centered around breast cancer and awareness.   Several vendors showcased their products and a portion of the proceeds went to the cause.  This year the colors were hot pink and did the ladies dress for the occasion. Here are a couple of the shots of my florals.   Lon Lane's food was delectable and as usual, displayed like art.  And what a professional staff to work with.  Check out Lon's website inspiredoccasionskc.com

J Hathaway Shoe Boutique in Leawood showcased Ann Roth shoes.
The women went crazy over these shoes. annrothshoes.com

IKEA holiday

On a recent trip to Minneapolis, this was one of the vases I found that makes for a simple floral arrangement.   Mark and Shelby wanted out of the vase section after a 1/2 hour...but I was in heaven.

wreath for a cause! DIFFA's Holiday's By Design 2010

I designed this 6' diameter wreath for the DIFFA [ Designer Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS ] Holiday's by Design silent auction.  If you haven't been to this event...you are missing on of the hottest parties and a holiday fundraising event for a great cause.  Funds go to HIV/AIDS education and prevention.
This wreath was made of curly willow, large sage mophead hydrangeas and green accents.  To add to the fun, the owner of the wreath can light up the miniature tealights which are enclosed by CB2 hanging globes.  Whimsical, organic and elegant!

Hana Floral blog DAY #1

So excited to announce that tonight, on this very night, i'm starting my first blog for Hana Floral in Kansas City.  All of the events, weddings and occasions where I have the opportunity to create florals and design work....all have their new home on this blog.  I can't wait to see how this blog will help me spread the word of HF in KC....but i'm ready.

Hotel Phillips Holiday Decor

Big design project at the Hotel Phillips.  Holidays came alive during the Thanksgiving holiday at Hotel Phillips downtown.  Thanks to my friends Amy, Laura and Hayley, we were able to complete 11 medium size trees, 2 large wreaths, a 20' tree, light the exterior and so much more.

Day 3, almost there.  Check out the hotel this holiday season before the new year.  After the first of the year, it's all getting packed back up for it's seasonal hibernation.

Boxes of Holiday Joy!

I helped the KU Nursing Program with a luncheon this past week.  Filled small cookie boxes with pines, candy canes, a small ornament, crysanthemums, and red carnations.
Lots of fun.  My friend Amy helped and had a chance to experience floral design holiday style!

12 boxes and 3 vase arrangements ready for delivery

I was very happy with how this turned out.  Sort of "asian" / mod inspired.

Holiday @ The Stewarts

The Stewart's newly renovated ranch home is nestled right up to the Indian Hills Golf Course and is an exquisite home.  Darcy Stewart asked me to create a garland for her front door and pot 4 prelit trees in 2 white modern planters.  Was it chilly that morning.  burrr.  but it was well worth all the freezing.

Hotel Phillips Client Appreciation Event

Hotel Phillips in downtown Kansas City, one of the most historical and hip hotels in our city, hosted a client appreciation event.  Here are some of the florals I created for the event.  What great people to work with.  Hotel Phillips Downtown KC

Hot Pink and Purple wedding

Heather and Landon tied the knot last October and it was a beautiful day for this gorgeous couple.  Heather, a designer herself, chose the colors of hot pink and purple.  She's very fond of purple and it's no surprise.  Creative people are usually drawn to purple.
Her talented friend and photographer Darbi G took thes amazing photos.  visit http://www.darbig.com/ and http://www.blog.darbig.com/
